Katie Creasey joined Y2 in 2015. Absorbing knowledge at a prodigious rate she expanded her education in environmental, chemical, civil engineering, with study and practice in water and wastewater process design, road design, site grading, erosion control and mitigation.
Collaborating with her non-engineer colleagues, Katie demonstrates teamwork by integrating engineering into a variety of multidisciplinary projects. Katie manages some of Y2’s largest and most demanding clients through trustworthiness, reliability and flexibility. Each project faces different regulatory requirements, environmental challenges, political consequences and economic impact and requires extensive communication and collaboration.
Katie is a strong advocate of the Engineering profession. She is the elected Secretary of the Wyoming Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Her outreach embraces the next generation, bringing her enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to Career Days at local K-12 schools. She makes a point of reaching out to young girls in math and sciences, to inspire and demonstrate the opportunities available to them as engineers.
Katie presently serves as Civil Department Co-Lead. In addition to managing her own projects her tasks include generating proposals; scheduling workload among the team; developing strategic plans and revenue forecasting; serving with her peers on the firm’s Leadership Committee; and mentoring young EITs.
Katie’s steady confidence, personal and professional integrity, and professional and athletic achievements demonstrate a positive and well-rounded example to aspiring young professionals.
