As part of the Teton County Scholarship Program (TCSP), Y2 Consultants annually sponsors two $500 STEM scholarships for young women entering college in the fields of natural resources or engineering. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
This year, 125 students from across Teton County applied for 219 scholarships sponsored by various local donors. A total of $702,300 was awarded to high school seniors within the county.
Five Y2 employees reviewed applications and selected Skyler LaRosa and Kristina MacLoud. Skyler is interested in pursuing Ecology and Wildlife Biology in college; and Kristina, Biomedical Engineering.
The TCSP is administered by the Fund for Public Education and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole in partnership with Teton County School District #1. It is open to all graduating seniors in Teton County, including home-schooled students.
We are proud to support this program and the students of our community.
