Y2 Consultants is a Women-Owned Small Business, founded in 2011 by Brenda Younkin and Zia Yasrobi with offices in Jackson, Cheyenne, and Pinedale. Our team brings over 35 years of project experience in engineering, surveying, construction management, natural resources, planning, and strategic communications. Y2’s vision is to “Enhance the natural and built environment.”
Since its inception in 2011, Y2 Consultants (Y2) of Jackson acquired Pierson Landworks of Jackson, and Western Research & Development of Cheyenne. These mergers expanded the inter-disciplinary capabilities offered in-house and improved capability to serve clients across Wyoming.
Y2 provides comprehensive support services from initial feasibility and planning, all the way through final construction. Our extensive project portfolio includes roadway planning and design, water and sewer infrastructure, stormwater systems, site permitting and design, environmental review, cost estimating, water rights and permitting, structural design and analysis, construction monitoring, real estate due diligence, natural resource planning, and strategic communications. In short, Y2 team members have specialized in assisting communities across the state of Wyoming and neighboring states for decades. Y2 professionals come from a myriad of disciplines and care deeply about meeting client needs efficiently, effectively, and economically.

We care for our team. Y2 Consultants is committed to respecting our team of talented individuals and the various positions they fill. We foster an atmosphere of community where team members feel valued for their input and have a voice in decisions that affect them. Our company offices span over 500 miles, so we prioritize opportunities for team members to connect through company-wide retreats, mentoring, knowledge-share lunches, virtual social events, and coordination meetings.
We care for our clients and communities. The Y2 team is adept at using simple, inexpensive solutions to identify and accomplish project goals. We use real world experience to devise economically viable, innovative solutions. Not only do we strive for value in our technical practices, but we prioritize support of programs that support charitable giving, non-profit passions, employee efforts, and higher education scholarships.
We care for the world around us. Y2 has a Natural Resources Department staffed with range scientists, water specialists, and wildlife biologists who have completed multiple Natural Resource Management Plans in the Rocky Mountain region. We work to monitor natural resource conditions throughout the region, and work in conjunction with Y2 engineering and survey departments to prioritize natural resource goals.
