Western Research & Development

Western established its roots in Cheyenne in 1982. Owner Gary Grigsby, PE, PLS, developed Western into a full-service professional engineering and surveying company specializing in civil design, surveying, permitting, water rights, and planning. Their work spanned public and private work in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado.

The Western team was proud to merge with Y2 and create a multidisciplinary team of consultants ready to serve the rocky mountain region.

Pierson Landworks

In 2017, Jackson based architectural landscape firm Pierson Land Works (PLW), was acquired by Y2 Consultants. PLW was founded in 1986 by Scott and Lisa Pierson as Pierson Land Surveys. The firm initially provided land surveying services in Teton County and the surrounding region, with Scott acting as the firm’s licensed land surveyor and Lisa heading business operations.
