Tyler Klos is a Civil Engineer for Y2 in our Jackson office. Recently, he received his Professional Engineer license. We are so proud of this accomplishment and important step in his career. He was also promoted to Project Manager, which means he will be moving into more of a management role on projects. Tyler is responsible for project coordination for civil engineering design and permitting for site developments. He’s excited for the opportunity to be taking on more responsibilities to manage the budget, schedule, and deliverables on projects.
Tyler received a B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Tyler grew up in Wisconsin, the land of cheese and the Green Bay Packers. His career path started near his hometown where he gained experience in site planning, grading, and stormwater management. After spending some time skiing in Jackson, he decided to make the move to explore the Tetons skiing, fishing, hiking, and camping with his wife and dog.
The projects he is working on now bring unique challenges due to the terrain, landscape, and slopes in the area, which is what he likes most about the job. None of the projects are the same, and each brings a learning opportunity, especially on private developments and residences.
Tyler really enjoys being a part of such a dynamic, relatable team. He shares, “It’s fun to come to a new position where I’m learning so much every day. I feel fortunate to be able to call my coworkers friends and spend time with them outside of work.”
Congratulations, Tyler! Keep up the great work.
