Under contract with WYDOT, Y2 prepared final design plans for an asphalt mill and overlay project on 8.12 miles of Interstate 25, between roadway markers 219.00 and 227.12 north of Casper. In addition to 8.05 miles of roadway, the project included 0.07 miles of structures, the Castle Creek Bridge, two pass separations, and the Midwest Interchange (Shepperson Road). Project components included grading, resurfacing, a deceleration lane, reseeding, new guardrail at bridge ends, and traffic control. Bar Nunn Streetscape Revitalization Plan
The Bar Nunn Streetscape Revitalization Plan addressed the concerns of the Town of Bar Nunn regarding the streetscapes within the original area of the town. Many of Bar Nunn’s streets are the former runways and taxiways of Wardwell Field. After more than 90 years, they are becoming difficult and expensive to maintain. This study analyzed current and future traffic volume and speed, road conditions, crash patterns, maintenance costs, and community development trends, with the goal of guiding future budget decisions for Bar Nunn streets.
